The international students can be accepted in the High Energy Physics laboratory
of Niigata university
(NGTHEP) under the Global Circus (GC) program. The research subjects
of NGTHEP are the following.
1) Study of particle-antiparticle asymmetry
using B mesons which are produced by the interaction of
high energy electrons and positrons. (Belle experiment)
2) Research
of neutrino oscillation by the measurement of neutrino flux from the nuclear reactor.
(Double Chooz experiment)
3) R&D
of new radiation detectors and those applications.
Among these subjects, foreign students under GC program may join No.3 research
subject for his/her doctor
or master thesis.
In March 1997, the agreement of the academic exchange was concluded between the faculty of science in
Niigata University and the Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute
of Technology (MSU-IIT).
Since then, NGTHEP accepted five and one graduate students thanks to JASSO
and government scholarships,
respectively, for their master or doctor degrees. We wish to accept foreign graduate students especially
doctor students, not only from MSU-IIT but also the member university of
the physical society-SPVM
(Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao) in Philippines, since we have
good relation to SPVM.
With the member of the SPVM Executive Committee in the Philippines.
